 The Poor Person's Resource Society always promoted self advocacy.  While we have advocated for others, our goal has been to support others and share experiences that might enable persons to make informed decisions as they advocate for themselves. This website is being re-drafted to better reflect current activities.

I am Tina Marie Tomashiro, Managing Director of TPPRS. As I have obtained the outcomes I wanted, despite out of court settlements at the 6 year and then 3 year marks after date of injury/re-injury, I  say I successfully advocated for myself in 3 BC Supreme Court challenges against multiple very powerful defendants, 4 College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C. complaints, an Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of BC complaint, among other complaints. 

In 2017 I settled with five defendants, of which Dr. Stephen Ronald Joe, of Vancouver, BC physician registrant number 08677. Dr. Joe breached the contract he made with me two months after signing the contract to wrongfully make my medical chart appear acurate, which endangered  future health with the health authority Dr Joe worked for and only for Dr. Joe's professional benefit. Approximately April 2020 the Privacy Commissioner of BC directed the clinic Dr. Joe fabricated my medical chart to append 51 corrections, annotations and evidences to my medical chart.
